Edward Hopper Photostory
This is a motion graphics project introducing viewers to the paintings of Edward Hopper. Hopper liked to contrast noisy and quiet events in his paintings; creating buildings or people in very noisy places while simultaneously establishing silent, lonely, and peaceful feelings for the viewer. I collected some of his paintings and used my interpretation of each painting and a train’s journey along a railroad tract to connect them from suburbs to cities, day to night, and outdoor to indoor. I chose peaceful and soothing music and a slow animation pace to make help my audience experience the atmospheres in Hopper’s work.
